EchoRock’s Approach

Typical memory problems are caused because our brains are too busy. We may be dealing with anxieties, sleepiness, or general distraction. As these barriers move out of the way, memory is revealed in its natural state. For example, a person with memory loss associated with inattentive ADHD symptoms can’t move facts into long-term memory storage. That’s because they can’t hold them in their mind long enough. Research has shown that about 15 seconds of attention is required to remember something. As our focusing abilities improve, memory improves.

Memory Loss may also be associated with a concussion or brain trauma. Although most people don’t make the connection, playground falls and fender-bender accidents add up to a serious cumulative effect. LENS seems to address physical trauma to the brain in the first few sessions–when the brain is encouraged to optimize itself, its first priority is taking back all the “memory” storage circuits that have been dedicated to being ready for another head-blow. So Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) clients often notice rapid improvements. Head trauma is one of the easiest conditions to fix. It usually requires fewer than 10 sessions in children.

Memory loss from stroke, Parkinson’s or Alzheimer’s disease takes longer to treat. Yet results can be dramatic. Caregivers and families report that Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s patients gain three or four additional years of functioning before the disease takes over. Often this improvement in functioning can be important financially, since the client can dress themselves, cook, and otherwise function without constant help. And a return to being present, recognizing people, and enjoying life is priceless.
